These festive holiday treats are not only fun to eat but fun to make too!Frosty & Rudolph Rice Krispie Treats: Festive Holiday Treats Made In Minutes AD #TidingsandTreats

My favorite part of the holidays is cooking and baking treats with my kids. I remember when I was younger I would spend all day in the kitchen making fudge and other holiday treats with my mom and grandma. My love of cooking has definitely been passed down to my boys too. They are still young so I like to stick to treats that don’t involve the oven or hot cookie sheets. That’s one reason why Rice Krispie Treats are my (and their) absolute favorite treat to make; that and they are just so delicious!

Frosty & Rudolph Rice Krispie Treats: Festive Holiday Treats Made In Minutes AD #TidingsandTreatsWe had so much fun making Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats for Halloween I decided to make winter themed treats with them too! Check out the bottom of this post for a fun video tutorial for Santa Rice Kripsie Treats. We’ll be making these next week but last week we made Frosty and Rudolph.Frosty & Rudolph Rice Krispie Treats: Festive Holiday Treats Made In Minutes AD #TidingsandTreats

Frosty & Rudolph Rice Krispie Treats: Festive Holiday Treats Made In Minutes AD #TidingsandTreatsWhen I was at Target picking up a few gifts and other holiday necessities I also picked up a few boxes of Rice Krispies and Cocoa Krispies Cereal as well as a couple bags of mini marshmallows. They even have a limited edition red and green Rice Krispies. Kellogg’s products are perfect for treat making and can be used in so many different ways! Not only that but Rice Krispies will donate a toy to Toys For Tots for every treat shared on social media using the hashtag #Treats4Toys.

Frosty & Rudolph Rice Krispie Treats: Festive Holiday Treats Made In Minutes AD #TidingsandTreatsI’m all for helping kids in need so we got right to creating when I got home! These fun treats are quick and easy to make and are moist, chewy and delicious. My favorite trick to making Rice Krispies treats super soft is to mix the butter and the marshmallows together at the same time; don’t melt the butter first. When we make these treats I do the melting and my boys do mostly everything else on their own (with a little help from mom). The hardest part is waiting to let them set up in the fridge.Frosty & Rudolph Rice Krispie Treats: Festive Holiday Treats Made In Minutes AD #TidingsandTreats

Oooh! What a great tip! I usually melt the butter first but now I’m going to try melting together! And what cute holiday-themed treats! [client]
