Can you believe that Christmas is four weeks away?! Even crazier is that the new Star Wars The Force Awakens opens in just three weeks! My boys (and me too) have been waiting all year for this movie to come out and now that it’s finally here everything (and I mean everything) is all about Star Wars. From their Christmas lists to Santa to what movies they want to watch, even what they were thankful for at Thanksgiving, has to do with Star Wars. So I found it only fitting to create a few new Star Wars recipes.

You may remember my Death Star Oreo Truffles from earlier this year; well I decided to pair them with a new favorite winter treat, Storm Trooper Hot Chocolate. This thick and creamy hot cocoa recipe has quickly become my family’s favorite cool weather drink and not just because of the name. It has the perfect balance of richness and sweet and keeps you warm through the whole Star Wars trilogy. Since this Christmas is going to be a Star Wars Christmas I thought it would be fun to add some new mugs to our drinking collection.

I picked up these new The Force Awakens mugs at the Hallmark Gold Crown Store while I was doing a little holiday shopping and I loved all the new Star Wars products they had! From mugs to bottle openers, ornaments and wrapping paper; it was a Star Wars lover dream. I decided to go with these BB8 and the Kylo Ren Mugs since they were bigger than the other mugs and I really liked the sayings, “The Force Awakens: Caffeine does too”. You can pick them up at any Hallmark Gold Crown Store or online.

Yep…the white chocolate chips give it the right amount of chocolate taste. I have tried other chocolate and I definitely like the chocolate chips the best!

I have to admit that I’ve never made hot chocolate by actually melting chocolate chips. I will have to try this. I bet the added vanilla is perfect!

Looks Delish! My son is just starting to get into Star Wars – I’ve never seen any! We have plans to watch as many as we can over the break :).
