Keeping yourself accountable for self-care has never been more fun (or colorful) thanks to this easy to-do bullet journal page.

Now that the kids are back in school I’m finally able to get a better grip on a daily schedule. I don’t know why it’s so hard during the summer time, but seriously I forget to do the most basic things when I have the house full of kids all day. Things like brush my teeth, wash my face, shower – you know, the things us moms tell our kids to do every day; those are the things I forget about!
I recently got into bullet journaling and I love it! It’s so much easier, and fun, to doodle and write my thoughts, goals, feelings, than it is to just write them out in a journal. Since my bullet journal is something I do every day I decided to add a checklist of things I need to remember to do every day to it. I did this for several reasons:
- It’s nice to be able to check things off a to-do list.
- Because I look at my journal every day, I’ll actually remember to do these things.
- It adds another fun pop of color to my journal!
After I made my list of things I wanted/needed to do every day, I headed to my favorite store to pick up everything I needed to make sure I could color in each one of those boxes every day! I love shopping at Target (who doesn’t right?!) because not only do they have everything I want (and need) but the Target Cartwheel App is full of discounts and coupons that help me save even more!
One of the things I fell off the bandwagon with this summer was brushing my teeth twice a day. I would always remember to brush them in the morning, but would often forget to do it at night because I was either too tired or fell asleep downstairs with the kids. So the first place I headed when I got to Target was the beauty/health care aisles.
I was excited when I found a coupon for $2 off the new Crest Gum and Enamel Repair Toothpaste on the Target app! I have been using the Crest Gum Detoxify toothpaste since the spring and have really liked the way it makes my gums feel (and my dentist noticed a difference too at my last visit). This new Gum and Enamel Repair toothpaste not only keeps your gums healthy but it also has been clinically proven to reverse signs of gingivitis!
I picked up a tube of the Crest Gum and Enamel Repair Toothpaste, a new toothbrush, some face wash, vitamins and a few new pens (because who doesn’t need new pens right?!) and headed home. I did this last Wednesday when my oldest started school, and I’m happy to report I’ve done everything on my to-do list every day since.
You can add whatever you want to your list and it doesn’t have to be perfect! I know some people that have the most gorgeous handwriting and bullet journals, and though I wish that was me, it’s just not. I have on mine to-do list the things I need to do for me every day:
- Brush Teeth
- Wash Face
- Shower
- Eat Breakfast
- Take Vitamins
- Journal
Try not to add too much to your daily to-do list or you might get overwhelmed and not get everything done.
Are you excited to get back to a routine now that school has started (or are you a rock star and kept your routine through the summer months)?? Either way, make sure to head into Target and pick up everything you need to take care of yourself this year including the new Crest Gum and Enamel Repair Toothpaste!
