Enjoy a leprechaun’s favorite sweet treat with this sparkling green apple juice.

Leprechaun Juice: A bubbly, sweet {non-alcoholic} drink. What leprechauns drink to get energy

Have I mentioned lately how much I love being a mom?! Seriously, it is the best job in the world! I love how excited my boys get about the tiniest little things and how ecstatic they get over big surprises. Now that they are getting a little bit older it is so much fun to explain holidays and celebrate with them. It’s even better now that I have Tastefully Frugal because we get to celebrate every holdiday 4-5 weeks early.

St. Patrick’s Day has been extra fun this year. We’ve made Crossword Puzzles and Word Searches and learning about the traditions of Ireland and the holiday. Both my husband and I have ancestors from Ireland and we are proud of our heritage. We’ve been eating some traditional Irish foods, like corned beef and soda bread, and tried some new green treats too (check back tomorrow for a tangy, green dessert). One thing I wanted to make was a yummy green drink. While searching Pinterest I found that most of the green drinks and St. Patrick’s drinks were alcoholic. We don’t drink and we wanted something we could share with the kids, so alcohol was definitely out.

That’s when I remembered this great company I learned about at BYBC two weeks ago, Apple Beer. Don’t be fooled by the name, there is no alcohol, no caffeine and it’s gluten free too! I mentioned earlier that we are proud of our heritage and we have German ancestry as well so I was even more excited to try it when I found out it was created in Germany. Not only do I like this yummy drink because it’s better for you than soda and because it has German roots but it tastes amazing too! They have two flavors, Original and Apple Beer Five. Apple Beer Five is definitely my favorite; it has ginseng and acai berry and the perfect hint of apple. I knew it would be perfect for my green St. Patrick’s Day treat.

My boys favorite drink is apple juice so I figured why not combine the too? And boy am I glad I did! The sweetness of the apple juice mixed with the bubbly tang of the Apple Beer made for a great afternoon pick me up and was perfect with our corned beef. Plus it was something the whole family could enjoy. I told my boys that this what leprechauns drink to keep up their energy and they loved it. So if you need a little extra energy too make a batch of leprechaun juice; you won’t regret it!
