I’ve said it before many time; I love the holidays now that I have kids! There’s something about seeing their eyes light up when they see new decorations coming up or a new fun section at the store when we go shopping. I try to do seasonal/holiday activities on a regular basis with my kids. That way they are having fun AND learning.
I’m also a big fan of tying in learning into these crafts and activities. Like our Snowflake Magnets, these four leaf clovers help little hands with fine motor skills as well as counting and pattern recognition. After we made these my boys made patterns with anything they could get there hands on the rest of the day!
Green pipe cleaners
Green and yellow beads
Repeat steps 2 and 3 with remaining three pipe cleaners.
Cut a third pipe cleaner into thirds.
You can also hot glue a magnet on the back (like I did with the snowflakes) to make magnets to hold other masterpieces kids create on your fridge.
