I received product from Jones Creek Beef in exchange for my review. All opinions are mine alone.

This easy casserole takes only 30 minutes to make and tastes like your biting into a juicy cheeseburger.Cheeseburger Casserole: The Ultimate Dinner Option For Picky Eaters. Ready in 30 Minutes | Tastefully Frugal

Do you have picky eaters at home? Luckily, at this time (that could change tomorrow) my boys love eating anything and everything. But it hasn’t always been that way. I’m sure as parents we’ve all been there when it’s a battle to the death struggle to get our kids to just take one bite of dinner. If you’re going through this right now then you don’t want to miss this post! I have yet to meet a kid (or anyone for that matter) that hasn’t loved this tasty dish; and I’ve made it for family parties for years.

Not only does this taste just like a big, juicy cheeseburger, and who doesn’t love cheeseburgers, but it goes from fridge to table in 30 minutes. I’ve also found that using grass fed beef, like Jones Creek Beef, makes a huge difference in the flavor too. It takes this casserole from really good to great. Seriously it tastes just like biting into a juicy burger. There are many differences between grass fed beef and most other beef you will find in your local grocer, some of them being grass fed beef is lower in total fat, higher in Vitamins E and B, Calcium, Magnesium. Potassium, and Omega-3. So what does all that mean to you?!

Cheeseburger Casserole: The Ultimate Dinner Option For Picky Eaters. Ready in 30 Minutes | Tastefully Frugal It means not only does your food taste better but it actually is better for you too. Lower saturated fats means a less likely chance to get heart disease. When I first heard this I knew I wanted to switch my family to grass fed beef exclusively but didn’t know if it was in the budget. Isn’t grass fed beef more expensive or don’t I have to go to a special farm to buy it? Well, I was pleasantly surprised to find out Jones Beef sells their product at Walmart stores across the nation, and the cost isn’t much more than what I was paying for the regular ground beef I was buying.

So now that we have tasty beef how do we make it into this yummy casserole? It’s super easy to make and not only do kids love eating it, but they love help making it too!Cheeseburger Casserole: The Ultimate Dinner Option For Picky Eaters. Ready in 30 Minutes | Tastefully Frugal

Prep Time 15 mins
Cook Time 15 mins
Total Time 30 mins
Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Grass Fed Ground Beef
  • 1/2 bag egg noodles 8 oz
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 28 oz
  • 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 cup cheese I like to use cheddar jack

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Brown ground beef in large skillet over medium low heat.
  • While beef is cooking cook egg noodles until they're al dente (about 6 minutes)
  • Drain beef and return to skillet. Add crushed tomatoes, worcestershire sauce and oregano and stir to combine.
  • Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  • Drain egg noodles and return to pot. Add meat mix to egg noodles and stir to combine.
  • Pour in a greased 9x13 baking dish and top with cheese.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.

Notes

When cooking with grass fed beef be careful not to over cook. Because of the lower fat content it cooks quicker than most beef and can easily be burnt.
