Create this fun, budget friendly deer themed baby shower with your Cricut and really wow the mom to be!

Having a baby is one of the most exciting times in a mom’s life! And whether it’s your first baby or fourth, I feel like a baby shower is a great way to celebrate the new baby and mom to be. I recently helped a friend throw this cute Oh Deer Baby Shower for her second baby girl. Because she already had 3 kids, the baby shower wasn’t extravagant and she didn’t ask for many gifts. It was more of an excuse to get together with girlfriends and enjoy some yummy treats and girl time.

How to throw a baby shower on a budget

When we were planning her shower we wanted to keep things as affordable as possible. We did this by creating all of our own decorations and treats. We used cardstock I already had on hand for all the decorations, but if you had to buy your own you could easily buy everything for $10 or less.

Also keep in mind the time of day you’re throwing your shower. If you plan your baby shower in between meals (like a late afternoon) you don’t have to provide a ton of food. We just had some yummy dessert treats including cupcakes, cake bites and macarons.

Oh Deer Baby Shower Decorations

Learn the easy way to make paper rosettes with your Cricut Maker and scoring wheel! #ad

We started by making these fun paper rosettes with glitter gold deer in the center. You can get the cut file and step by step directions on how to make them here. We used my Cricut Maker to make all the decorations and we had everything for the whole party cut in less than 15 minutes.

In keeping with our color scheme of pink, gold and navy I made a diaper cake with Riley Blake Fabric Fat Quarters, check back Monday for the full tutorial. I love using diaper cakes as decorations because not only are they super easy to make but they also make the perfect gift for any mom to be.

We dressed up the diaper cake and cupcakes with these antler cake toppers and they were SO easy to make!
