Throw Happiness Like Confetti with this 30 Days of Kindness Online Challenge! This post was sponsored by Google. All thoughts and opinions are mine alone.  #ItsCoolToBeKind #BeInternetAwesome #Sponsored

This time of year I always see random acts of kindness challenges all over the place. I don’t know if it’s the holidays but we get reminded a lot in November in December that it’s cool to be kind. BUT that kindness doesn’t need to happen just in real life.

In today’s day and age we are spending more and more time online. Whether it’s looking up what we’re making for dinner tonight, catching up with old friends or scrolling through Instagram at 3AM when you’re feeding the baby (guess what I was doing at 3AM), we spend more time than ever online.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month and I’ve teamed up with Google to not only help spread kindness but also help you be aware of cyber bullying and how you can help prevent it. Cyber bullying doesn’t just affect adults, it can affect kids too and we want to make sure you know how you can stop the epidemic.

How To Be Kind Online

Google has created the Be Internet Awesome site that teaches kids how to be kind online in a fun, interactive way. Be Internet Awesome’s keys to success include being:

  • Smart
  • Alert
  • Strong
  • Kind
  • Brave

Be Internet Awesome also teaches both parents and children how to be aware of cyber bullying and what you can do when you see it happen. It also includes Interland, an interactive guide for parents and kids that has games and gives examples to share with your family of cyber bullying and how we may be experiencing it every day. To play Interland, click here.

So to help families be Internet Awesome I created this calendar that you can save to your phone or computer as a fun and easy way for anyone and everyone to spread kindness! When we share more kindness and happiness online, we are taking away the chance of someone being bullied.

Click the picture above to save your kindness calendar to your phone. And follow along on Instagram as I share my 30 Days of Online Kindness! By being upstanding online citizens we are leading by example of how we should treat others not online here digitally but also in real life.
