Create this fun, budget friendly deer themed baby shower with your Cricut and really wow the mom to be!
Having a baby is one of the most exciting times in a mom’s life! And whether it’s your first baby or fourth, I feel like a baby shower is a great way to celebrate the new baby and mom to be. I recently helped a friend throw this cute Oh Deer Baby Shower for her second baby girl. Because she already had 3 kids, the baby shower wasn’t extravagant and she didn’t ask for many gifts. It was more of an excuse to get together with girlfriends and enjoy some yummy treats and girl time.
How to throw a baby shower on a budget
When we were planning her shower we wanted to keep things as affordable as possible. We did this by creating all of our own decorations and treats. We used cardstock I already had on hand for all the decorations, but if you had to buy your own you could easily buy everything for $10 or less.
Also keep in mind the time of day you’re throwing your shower. If you plan your baby shower in between meals (like a late afternoon) you don’t have to provide a ton of food. We just had some yummy dessert treats including cupcakes, cake bites and macarons.
Oh Deer Baby Shower Decorations
We started by making these fun paper rosettes with glitter gold deer in the center. You can get the cut file and step by step directions on how to make them here. We used my Cricut Maker to make all the decorations and we had everything for the whole party cut in less than 15 minutes.
In keeping with our color scheme of pink, gold and navy I made a diaper cake with Riley Blake Fabric Fat Quarters, check back Monday for the full tutorial. I love using diaper cakes as decorations because not only are they super easy to make but they also make the perfect gift for any mom to be.
We dressed up the diaper cake and cupcakes with these antler cake toppers and they were SO easy to make!
Antler Cupcake Toppers

Deer Baby Shower Favor Boxes
These favor boxes were my favorite part of the party (aside from the treats of course). They were the perfect size to send home a few extra macarons and a chapstick and were really easy to put together.
SUPPLIES:
Pink, White and Glitter Gold Cardstock
Glue Dots (or any adhesive)
Ribbon
DIRECTIONS:
Open up this design in Design Space and send machine to cut.
Select medium cardstock from the materials drop down menu and insert Scoring Wheel in B clamp. Once the score lines have been cut, insert the fine point blade into the B clamp and cut out boxes.
Cut the onesies out of white cardstock and the deer out of glitter gold cardstock.
Attach the deer to the onesies using glue dots or glue.
Fold all score lines on the pink box inwards.
Use hot glue gun to attach tab to side of box.
Fold the bottom of the box together. Put the long side first, then the side opposite and lastly fold the two side pieces underneath the long piece.
Fold the two top pieces of the boxes into the tabs on the side.
Glue the onesie onto the front of the box.
Use ribbon to tie box closed.
We had so much fun celebrating this mama to be and not only did the party turn out just as cute as I had imagined, but it was easy and stress free to put together!
