Create a fun and festive baby shower gift that is useful too! Have you ever noticed that you never just have one friend pregnant?! You either don’t know anyone who is pregnant or it seems like everyone and their dog is expecting. Currently I have 3 neighbors due within a week of me and one neighbor that just had a baby. That doesn’t even include the 10 or so other friends I have that are due in the next few months too. We’ve got several baby showers coming up so I’ve been brainstorming gift ideas that are easy to make (my energy definitely isn’t where it was a month ago) but also useful too. And nothing is more useful when you have a baby than diapers.
Giving a box of diapers is useful but it isn’t as fun as when you make something with the diapers. I’ve made diaper cakes before and they never turned out as pretty as they were on Pinterest. When I was browsing for ideas for the first shower next week I found these diaper bouquet. Not only were they easy to make but I had everything I needed to make them other than the diapers. So I bought a box of diapers (you will only need about 12-14 but I like to give the rest wrapped up too) and got to creating.
Supplies:
Diapers (12-14)
Vase
Rubberbands (I used hair ties because I had a ton that I wasn’t using)
Wooden Skewers
Tissue Paper (I used light pink and dark pink)
Vase Filler (I used headbands from my boutique, Mahle’s Market)
Tulle (I used pink and purple)
Directions:
Roll diaper up starting at the top and rolling to the bottom.
Use rubber band (or hair tie) to keep rolled up.
Push skewer through bottom of diaper.
Cut 2 pieces of tissue paper into a rectangle.
Push skewer through the center of the tissue paper and criss cross to make look like flower petals.
Fill vase with tissue paper and/or other fillers (I used headbands but you can use travel size lotions, socks, rattles, etc.)
Arrange diaper flowers in vase.
Tie a bow with the tulle.
This was so easy to make (I was even able to make a few Lego cars with my boys) and it only took about 30 minutes to put together so it’s perfect for those last minute gifts too. What do you like to take as gifts to a baby shower?

What a lovely and useful shower gift! The headbands are a great touch, and you could easily personalize for the mom-to-be’s tastes. I’m so glad to be doing this baby shower hop with you! Thanks for organizing it!

This is such a cute idea! I love how fun it looks but is simple enough for non crafty people like me! 🙂
