Urbini Turni Travel System Review

Get out and about with baby in style..without spending a fortune!

I am so excited to have our baby girl home! Before we knew we were expecting again we got rid of almost all things baby. As our boys get older it seems like we have less and less space and what little storage space we had was being taken up by a crib, stroller, car seat and other things for a baby we weren’t sure we were ever going to use again. Not two weeks after we got rid of everything we found out Miss Mahle was on her way. Perfect timing right?! 

As I started searching for gear for our baby girl I was immediately drawn to the modern look of the boutique brands. I loved the sleek look and bright colors. What I didn’t love was the price tag. If I wanted to get everything I needed for Mahle I was looking at over $1000. Then one day I was at Walmart doing some of our regular shopping and I wondered over to the baby section. The first thing I saw was the Turni Travel System by Urbini. It had the same sleek lines as the higher end brands, the same bright color but was a fraction of the price…less than $200 for the whole thing! The one on display was blue but I quickly found they carried a pink version too. It was perfect! 

I couldn’t wait to get it out of the box when I got home and was ecstatic to find out how easy it was to put together. The last time I tried to put together a stroller it ended up with me in tears and screaming at my husband when he got home. The Turni was a totally different story; everything easily clicked together and the directions on how to switch between the different seating positions were great.

It was easy to set up but would it be easy to use? The answer is yes! I love how easy the infant car seat is to get in and out of the base as well as the stroller and the rear facing bassinet is perfect for newborns. I can easily switch back to front facing just by squeezing the handle. 

Getting around with the stroller is a breeze too. The front wheels lock into place or you can have them swivel (easier to maneuver around parks, stores and smaller spaces). It’s light weight so it’s easy to get in and out of the car and easy for my oldest to push around as well. In the past with other strollers I’ve had the hardest time getting them to collapse down but the Turni collapses with just the push of a button and clicks together easily. It’s even small enough to fit in our under stairs closet which makes getting it out to go on walks so much easier!

Another thing I loved about the infant car seat is that it will fit babies from 4 pounds up to 35 pounds. This took a huge weight of my shoulders when I went into labor at 28 weeks. I had heard horror stories about moms not being able to take their small babies home without a special car seat and this one would work if she did decide to come early (which she didn’t). And now it will fit her until she’s ready for a front facing car seat.

All in all not only is the Turni Travel System everything I needed and wanted for a travel system but it’s also the easiest stroller-car seat combo I’ve ever used. It takes care of our needs but it looks good too. I’ve gotten several compliments while walking with Mahle and everyone is amazed when I tell them I got it at Walmart.
