Brighten someone’s day with this basket of sunshine.
We all have someone in our lives that is always doing more for others than they do for themselves. They put others needs before their own but sometimes they are the ones that need help. I have a sweet friend who is always helping me (and everyone around her) and always has a smile on her face. But lately her life has had a few bumps and I wanted to do something for her to let her know how awesome she is and better days are coming.
Of course I could make or bake her something but my energy levels being 31 weeks pregnant just aren’t what they used to be. So when I got a coupon for Bath and Body Works I decided to start there. They have a new scent, well new to me, called Love and Sunshine, it’s a light ad bright scent and it put a smile on my face just smelling it. That’s when I thought to put a gift basket together with Sunshine as the theme.
I picked up a lotion, sugar scrub and body spray in Love and Sunshine and HAD to get a candle at Bath and Body Works too because they are just awesome! I then headed to Target to pick up a gift basket and the rest of the supplies. I know how much my friend loves having her toes freshly painted so I picked up some bright yellow and pink nail polish, a yellow loofa for her new sugar scrub and some EOS lip balm because you can never have enough lip balm. I also got a box of Nerds candy because they are her favorite. Lastly I picked up a cute mason jar cup because who doesn’t love a cute cup to sip lemonade, water, or whatever out of?!
I added everything into the gift basket and all I had left was to make a gift tag. I opened up my Cricut Design Space and found a sun image I liked. I cut the sun out of yellow and orange cardstock and then used a gold metallic pen to write Basket of Sunshine on white cardstock. I glued them all together and attached them to the basket with bakers twine. You can cut and print your tag here.
I wish I could’ve been there to see the look on her face when she got her basket but I dropped it off on her porch, rang the doorbell and ran! I hope she enjoys it as much as I did putting it together. Who in your life could use a Basket of Sunshine?
