Thank the teachers in your life for all they do with a tasty, homemade gift.
Nothing says thank you to me more than a homemade gift. Something that says you know the person receiving the gift has done a lot and you want them to know you are willing to do something special for them too. Homemade gifts are not only heart felt but easy on the wallet too. With summer vacations coming up, graduation ceremonies and more this month sometime budgets are stretched to the max. Finding an extra $5-$10 for each teacher can be darn right impossible.
And for most people it’s not the dollar amount behind the gift that counts; it’s the thought. This gift idea costs at most $2 for a mason jar and could be free if you’ve got extra jars on hand. Not only that but you get to spend an hour or so baking and creating and thinking about how wonderful these people truly are. And on top of all of that; who doesn’t love getting fresh baked cookies?! You can print the little tags for free here and use a glue stick to attach it to the top of the jar. If you’ve got a Cricut machine you can even print these on Sticker Paper and attach it directly to the lid.
You can also spruce up the jar by adding bakers twine, washi tape or even a personalized sticker like on these Pencil Holders. Or instead of using a mason jar put the cookies in a Decorative Treat Box.
Need some good cookie recipes to fill these jars or boxes?? A few of my favorite are these Reese’s Stuffed Peanut Butter Cookies, Light & Soft Sugar Cookies or my absolute favorite Soft & Moist Chocolate Chip Cookies.
