We’re already to Day 3 of our 12 Frugal Days of Christmas! Today’s post is the most frugal of all because it cost absolutely nothing to make. Yep today is all about the free!
We’ve been listening to Christmas music here since the middle of November. My husband is all for tradition and refused didn’t want to put the tree up until after Thanksgiving but he did cave and let us listen to Christmas music. My boys quickly found their new favorite song, I Want A Hippopotamus for Christmas. Have you heard it before? The original was from the 50’s I believe and man did that song get old really quick. But then we found an updated version by Gretchen Wilson and that one is much more tolerable. We listen to it at least 3 or 4 times a day. So when I was thinking of decor ideas for the 12 Frugal Days of course this song came on and an idea popped into my head… Hey! Why not make the lyrics into a subway printable.
I may be a little biased but I think it turned out pretty cute! I’m working on decorating the whole house this year so this was perfect to go in my boys’ room! Listen to the song, frame the printable and have a very merry Wednesday 🙂
