Make this Cherry Limeade Lip Scrub in 2 minutes or less to make your lips silky smooth. It will make your home smell fresh and amazing too!
Do you have a favorite food or drink that you wish you could eat/drink all the time? Contrary to what my kids think, Mt. Dew is not my favorite drink. I actually LOVE Cherry Limeade. I love the mix of sweet and sour and the crisp taste of lime. So when I started brainstorming flavors of lip scrubs I wanted to make this summer Cherry Limeade was at the top of my list.
I love making lip and sugar scrubs, especially after the dry winter months when my skin could use a little pick me up. They also make super easy and affordable gifts. I made 40 of these last week to hand out to the aids and middle school teachers at my son’s school as part of our Teacher Appreciation Week and it only took about 10 minutes to make them all.
To make these lip scrubs, you probably have most of what you need at home. The recipe is super simple and you can easily change it to make more or less depending on how much you want to make. You can get the containers I have these in at Dollar Tree – they come in a 10 pack for $1!
For the stickers on top of the containers, just open this design in Cricut Design Space and print and cut on printable vinyl. Easy peasy lemon (or lime) squeezy!
Cherry Limeade Lip Scrub
Ingredients
- 1 part coconut oil
- 2 parts sugar
- 4-6 drops lime flavoring
- 1 packet Cherry Limeade Kool-Aid
- Red food coloring optional
Instructions
- Mix together coconut oil and sugar until completely combined.
- Add in Kool-Aid and lime flavoring and stir to completely combine.
- If you want more red in your lip scrub, add a few drops of red food coloring and stir.
- Store in an air tight container.
You can also add more lime flavoring if you want more of a citrus scent. I got a 2 pack of these at Walmart for $3. I made about 50 lip scrubs over the last few weeks and still have a little of the flavoring left. A little goes a long way. And it makes your house smell amazing!!
What’s your favorite drink? I’d love to turn more of your favorites into tasty body scrubs too!
