Celebrate Thanksgiving early with ease and style thanks to Chick-fil-A Catering.
Can you believe it…Thanksgiving is less than 2 weeks away?! I am excited to roast that turkey, make the stuffing and mashed potatoes and spend time with my family. Unfortunately not all our family can be here for Thanksgiving. So instead of missing out on spending time with those who couldn’t make it we had a Pre-Thanksgiving Party.
Now I love to cook but making two full Thanksgiving dinners was a little much. And my boys get sick of having the same food over and over again. So instead of turkey we opted for chicken and not just any chicken; Chick-fil-A. We had a busy weekend planned and I needed something quick and easy. Chick-fil-A took care of EVERYTHING for me. All I had to do was go online, pick what I wanted from their Catering Menu and say what time I wanted to pick it up.
We had the Chick-fil-A Nuggets (because how can you not), Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap and Chicken Salad Sandwich Tray, Garden Salad Tray, Fruit Tray and Lemonade. We were having our party on Sunday and since Chick-fil-A is closed Sunday we picked up Saturday night. They were able to chill everything so all I had to do was pop it in the oven to warm it up. They also included everything, and I mean everything we needed for the meal. Plates, napkins, forks, spoons, salad kits and our choice of 6 different dressings for the salad. All I had to do was put the tablecloth down and get cups.
I picked up this cute Tablecloth at Walmart where the kids (and adults) can draw on and added some cute Turkey cups and called it good. I had dinner ready to serve in 15 minutes (it took 15 minutes to heat up the nuggets). For dessert we decorated sugar cookies and had these Fresh Fruit Cornucopias.
Fresh Fruit Cornucopias
Supplies:
Fresh Fruit Tray from Chick-fil-A
Sugar Cones
Straw (or round stick to wrap cone end around)
Directions:
Get sugar cane wet from the bottom to about 2″ up.
Place opening side down in microwave and cook for 10-15 seconds.
Curl end of cone around straw and hold for 20 seconds.
Fill with fresh fruit.
These were so easy to make and the kids loved them! Everyone loved all the food (there was plenty to go around and even some to send home as leftovers) and I especially loved not having to spend hours in the kitchen preparing. I think we may get the nuggets, fruit and salad again the day before Thanksgiving so I’m not having to spend two whole days in the kitchen.
If you’re planning a get together this holiday season let Chick-fil-A do all the hard work for you. What’s your favorite thing to order at Chick-fil-A?
