Tootsie Roll Brownies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup 2 sticks butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup cocoa power
  • 2 cup flour
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tsp vanilla
  • Frosting:
  • 1 cup tootsie rolls about 70, cut in half
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 4-5 Tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • With a hand mixer, mix butter and cocoa powder.
  • Mix in flour and sugar just until combined
  • Mix in eggs and vanilla (one egg and 1 tsp vanilla at a time)
  • Don't over mix; just stir until combined.
  • Pour into a 9x13 greased baking dish and bake for 25-35 minutes until a tooth pick comes out clean.
  • Cool on a wire rack.
  • For Frosting:
  • In a double broiler melt tootsie rolls.
  • Mix tootsie rolls and cream cheese together. Add in powdered sugar 1 Tbsp at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  • Spread over cooled brownies.
  • If you have leftovers, store in fridge.
