Sydney @ Tastefully Frugal
Prep Time 30 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 box of Oreo cookies
  • 1 8 oz. box of cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup white chocolate candy melts
  • ~1/4 tsp black food coloring
  • canola oil

Instructions

  • Crush Oreos in a food processor, blender or by hand.
  • In a large bowl combine Oreo crumbs and cream cheese.
  • Mix with a spoon until every thing sticks together.
  • Wet your hands slightly with water and form 1" balls.
  • Place balls on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • Place in fridge for 30 minutes to allow to set up. (This step is important if you don't give them time to stick together they will fall apart when you dip them in chocolate)
  • Place 1/2 cup of candy melts in microwave and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Stir with a wooden spoon and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  • Stir again and if needed cook for 15 seconds until all chocolate is melted.
  • If necessary add canola oil to melted chocolate to make runnier, easier to dip.
  • Slowly add in black food coloring and stir until desired grey color is reached.
  • Dip truffles into chocolate and let completely harden on parchment lined baking sheet (I waited at least 30 minutes).
  • Using the back of a pen, poke small, shallow holes in to side of truffles.
