Don’t you just love cute notebooks?! I don’t think a girl can have enough notebooks and I almost always have 3 or 4 floating around. The problem I have though is I can never remember which notebook I wrote what down in. Do you have that same issue too? We are hosting Thanksgiving dinner at our house this year and I wanted to get a special notebook that I could plan everything in but also that I wouldn’t misplace. I looked at Target and Hobby Lobby and couldn’t find any that I really liked so I decided to check out the Cricut Design Space to get some inspiration.DIY Fall Journal: Make this fun journal to keep track of things in minutes with the Cricut Explore Air 2 | Tastefully Frugal

The Design Space is one of my favorite places to get inspiration for crafts, party decor, stationary and more. There are 1000’s of designs available for free with Cricut Access (and you get 10% off all orders with your Access too!) PLUS there are instructions on how to put each project together. That’s where I found this Pumpkin Spice Journal. I had bought a plain notebook from the Dollar Spot at Target a few months ago and I knew it would be perfect for this design.DIY Fall Journal: Make this fun journal to keep track of things in minutes with the Cricut Explore Air 2 | Tastefully Frugal

The cover of this notebook isn’t fabric so I used vinyl instead of heat transfer and decided to not do the embellishments since I knew they would probably fall off in my diaper bag. When I’m buying vinyl I like to buy the sampler packs because of all the colors you get. I used to buy single rolls of every colors but then I would end up with a bunch of vinyl that I would only use a few inches of. With the sampler packs I get lots of different colors without spending a fortune.DIY Fall Journal: Make this fun journal to keep track of things in minutes with the Cricut Explore Air 2 | Tastefully Frugal

You can get the full directions for this project and all the images here in the design space. Check back next week for a full tutorial on how to make Thanksgiving activity place mats for the kids.
